Prosecutors say Paszkowski received SMS text messages from the former IMF boss referring to the women as “matériel” or equipment. His ex-wife, Virginie Dufour, is also a defendant in the case and is believed to have handled the logistics for the sex parties.

The former director of a subsidiary of Eiffage, a French construction group, Roquet is believed to have financed – with company funds – some of the libertine evenings, including transatlantic trips with prostitutes. Roquet was fired from his job and prosecutors say his superiors were aware of Roquet’s role in the events, a charge the construction group has denied. Roquet’s immediate boss at that time, Jean-Luc Vergin, was sacked by Eiffage and is also a defendant in the case.
